Butterfly Blue by Shulton c1971

Butterfly Blue by Shulton: launched in 1971. Introduced as an aerosol spray cologne.


Soap, Cosmetics, Chemical Specialties, 1971:
"Shulton, Inc., New York, salutes spring with three new aerosol spray colognes formulated, packaged and priced to appeal primarily to the youth market. New colognes: "Butterfly Blue," "Runaway" and "Wild Meadow" retail for $2.75 each for 3 ounces."


Fragrance Composition:


So what did it smell like? It was a soft floral blend of wild honey and narcissus. I would need a sample to tell you what it smells like.
  • Top notes: aldehydes
  • Middle notes: wild honey and narcissus
  • Base notes:




Fate of the Fragrance:



Discontinued, date unknown.

Runaway was also introduced in 1971 by Shulton. It's notes were sun drenched florals and woods with a sweet amber base.
