Apropos by Anjou: launched in 1940.
So what does it smell like? It was classified as a woody-mossy-leafy forest blend chypre perfume. There are no official notes listed anywhere so I am using a vintage 1950s perfume nip to describe what I smell:
Discontinued, date unknown. Apropos was still sold until around 1970.

- Middle notes: herbs, carnation, lily of the valley, spices, lavender
- Base notes: cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, tonka, oakmoss, benzoin, musk and amber
