Vintage 1920s Swiss Chuit, Naef & Cie Scent Strip Stand

This 1920s Swiss metal scent-strip stand was made by 'Huguenin Freres & Co, le Locle, Switzerland' as indicated from the marks on base: 'HF  HUGUENIN LE LOCLE  SWISS MADE   FAB. SUISSE' for Chuit, Naef & Cie (1895 - 1945) as seen by their monogrammed initials: 'CN CIE' at the foot of the stand.

(Chuit, Naef & Cie is now known as, Firmenich SA, a private Swiss company in the perfume and flavor business.)

The last three images/items (not included in this auction) shows an image of the noted French ("Nose") perfume maker, Jacques Guerlain (1874 - 1963) holding a similar type scent-strip stand in his hand, and a glass scent-strip holder & stand. The glass holder (Porte Mouillette) was produced in the 1960s by Firmenich 'after' the original 1920s version made by French artist/designer Julien Viard for Chuit, Naef & Cie as indicated by their monogrammed trademark logo on base.
