Poéme by Lancôme: launched in 1995. Created by Jacques Cavallier.



Fragrance Composition:


So what does it smell like? It is classified as a rich floral-oriental fragrance for women. This was the first fragrance to use a very rare ingredient, the blue poppy, found only in the Himalayan mountains. Poeme also included another rarity, the datura, a desert dwelling flower.
  • Top notes: Himalayan blue poppy, mandarin, green notes, bergamot, plum,peach, narcissus, blackcurrant and datura
  • Middle notes: tuberose, leather, ylang ylang, heliotrope, orange blossom, vanilla orchid, mimosa, jonquil, freesia, rose, jasmine and daffodil
  • Base notes: orange blossom, cedar, vanilla, amber, Tonka bean and musk


Bottles:


Presented in a prism shaped bottle with rounded curves and a clean-cut surfaces, designed by Fabien Baron.

Fate of the Fragrance:


Poeme has been discontinued for several years. Still sold in 2007.
