Kai Sang by Corday c1924

Kai Sang by Corday: launched in 1924. The name may mean "To Be Triumphant" in Chinese.

Fragrance Composition:

So what does it smell like? It is classified as a floral oriental fragrance for women.
  • Top notes: geranium, citrus accord (neroli, bergamot, lemon peel)
  • Middle notes: tuberose, carnation, gardenia, spices
  • Base notes: tobacco, sandalwood, amber, vanilla, patchouli, musk, civet

Bottles:

The deluxe parfum bottle is made up of opaque black glass w/enameled decoration on bottle, stopper in red, white and gold, designed by Maurice Depinoix and made by C. Depinoix et Fils.

I believe this bottle could be had in two sizes:
  • Bottle measures 3" diameter x 1.5" tall.
  • Bottle measures 3.25" diameter x 2.75" tall.

The non-deluxe bottle is made up of colorless molded glass in the Art Deco style.

A miniature perfume in a tapered cylindrical shape with white plastic screw cap was sold in the 1950s, and can be found in sets of assorted Corday perfumes.

Fate of the Fragrance:

Discontinued, date unknown. Still being sold in the 1950s.
