Additional Info Supplied by Me:

This antique toilette garniture in its original, matching casket is a collector's dream in my opinion. The molded foliate scroll medallions on the turquoise ground- Flower sprays are enriched in gilt. The bleu celeste ground glaze was introduced during 1753 by the primary chemist at Sèvres, Jean Hellot.  Also known as Vincennes, bleu céleste, bleu ancien, bleu turquoise, it is a rich sky blue shade. It was one of the most expensive colors ever used at the Sèvres manufactory.

Enamel painting was hand applied over the fired glazes, to be refired at lower temperature. The designs of Sèvres, royal manufactory since 1753, provided inspiration for factories in Limoges, and others centers, who manufactured high-quality wares combining the traditional features of Sèvres with more modern methods of production. This is a charming porcelain set, finely hand painted with a richly gilded bleu celeste ground.
