Nina (original) by Nina Ricci: launched in 1987. In USA in 1988. Created by Christian Vacchiano of Argeville perfumers. Nina was launched exclusively in the US through Nordstrom and through direct mail before it was distributed worldwide.




Fragrance Composition:


So what does it smell like? It is classified as an aldehydic floral woody fragrance for women. Nina is a pretty combination of rose, iris, jasmine, violet, mimosa, bergamot, orange blossom, ylang ylang, vetiver, basil, marigold and cassie tree bud.
  • Top notes: aldehydes, mimosa, currant buds, green notes, peach, basil, tagetes, bergamot and lemon
  • Middle notes: orange blossom, mimosa, marigold, violet, orris root, jasmine, ylang-ylang, West Indian bay and rose
  • Base notes: Florentine iris, Mysore sandalwood, patchouli, musk, civet, oakmoss, blackcurrant syrup and vetiver











Fate of the Fragrance:


Discontinued, date unknown.

Reformulated and relaunched as a completely different fragrance, also called Nina in 2007.
