Zadig by Emilio Pucci c1972

Zadig by Emilio Pucci was launched in 1972, it was named after one of Voltaire's novellas.





Fragrance Composition:


So what does it smell like? It is classified as a rich, floral oriental perfume for women.
  • Top notes: aldehydes, bergamot, orange, peach and coriander
  • Middle notes: clove, honey, jasmine, orris and ylang ylang
  • Base notes: Abyssinian civet, Indian sandalwood, vetiver, benzoin, patchouli, cinnamon, vanilla, tolu balsam, Tibetan musk and amber

The perfume proved to be so popular at the time that a flanker, Miss Zadig Eau Fraiche Cologne was launched in 1981.

Some presentations of Zadig were sold along with a colorful classic Pucci 27" square signature print scarf around 1973.

Fate of the Fragrance:


Discontinued, date unknown.
