Oh La La! by Azzaro: launched in Europe in 1993. In North America in 1994-1995. Created by Gerard Anthony in conjunction with Jacques Cavallier. The Serge Mansau book mentions that Edouard Flechier from Roure composed the scent.

It seems there might be some conflicting information regarding the creation of "Oh La La!" by Azzaro. While some sources credit Gerard Anthony and Jacques Cavallier, others, like the Serge Mansau book  mentioned, attribute the composition to Edouard Flechier from Roure. Such discrepancies are not uncommon in the fragrance industry, where the collaborative nature of scent creation sometimes leads to differing accounts of who was involved. Ultimately, the true composition credits may be known only to those directly involved in the creation process at Azzaro.

Fragrance Composition:

So what does it smell like? It is classified as a spicy oriental fragrance for women. The fun begins with a sparkle of bergamot, raspberry, peach , mandarin and fig leaf, then a gentle, floral heart of jasmine, yellow rose and orange blossom makes its presence known. At the base is a warm, lingering blend of spices, woods and vanilla.

"Oh La La!" by Azzaro is a captivating blend with a complex and intriguing olfactory journey. Let's break down its scent profile based on the provided notes:

Top Notes:

The opening is vibrant and lively, with notes of bergamot, raspberry, peach, mandarin, and fig leaf. These fruity and citrusy accords create an initial burst of freshness and sweetness, setting a playful tone for the fragrance.

Middle Notes:

The heart of the fragrance reveals a delicate floral bouquet, featuring jasmine, yellow rose, and orange blossom. These floral notes add a romantic and feminine touch to the composition, balancing the fruity top notes with their elegant presence.

Base Notes:

The base notes provide depth and warmth to the fragrance. With a blend of spices, woods, and vanilla, including cinnamon, sandalwood, vanilla, and patchouli, the scent becomes richer and more sensual as it settles on the skin. The combination of these notes creates a lingering and inviting trail that enhances the overall allure of the fragrance.

Overall, "Oh La La!" by Azzaro seems to offer a captivating sensory experience, combining fruity, floral, and spicy elements to create a scent that is both playful and sophisticated, making it a fitting choice for a confident and stylish woman.

Bottle:

The packaging for "Oh La La!" by Azzaro adds to the allure and mystique of the fragrance. The baroque domed bottle, perched elegantly on a crystalline pedestal with spiraling volutes, suggests a sense of grandeur and sophistication. The collaboration between Serge Mansau and Loris Azzaro in designing the bottle likely aimed to evoke a sense of luxury and timeless elegance, mirroring the complexity and richness of the scent itself. Such attention to detail in both the fragrance and its presentation further enhances the overall experience for the wearer, making it a true embodiment of beauty and refinement.

Fate of the Fragrance:

It's unfortunate when beloved fragrances like "Oh La La!" by Azzaro are discontinued. The exact date of discontinuation can sometimes be challenging to pinpoint, especially if it happened without much fanfare or public announcement. However, despite its discontinuation, fragrances like "Oh La La!" often retain a devoted following, with enthusiasts cherishing remaining bottles or seeking out vintage versions online. While it may no longer be readily available, its memory lives on through the experiences and memories of those who enjoyed its unique scent.
