Flirt was first launched in 1908 by Ed Pinaud. It was then relaunched in 1937 in the famous Scarlett O'Hara bottle and the name was given a US trademark.
In 1990, the perfume was relaunched as a special edition of only 1000 examples for the inauguration of the Museum of Edouard Pinaud, in a copy of its original flacon and box design.

The trademark expired in 1996.

In 2013, Ed. Pinaud introduced Flirt along with three other editions, Flirt Iris, Flirt Jasmin and Flirt Pivoine.
Flirt Jasmin:
- Top notes: jasmine, mandarin, bergamot.
- Middle notes: lily of the valley, white flowers, elemi, tuberose.
- Base notes: sandalwood, amber, vanilla, musk
Flirt Pivoine:
- Top notes: raspberry, litchi, freesia
- Middle notes: lily of the valley, ylang ylang, peony, lilac, jasmine
- Base notes: patchouli, musk
Flirt Iris:
- Top notes: mandarin, green leaves
- Middle notes: iris, heliotrope, tonka bean
- Base notes: cedar, sandalwood, musk
