Parfumerie Fouillat of Grenoble, France, launched a range of perfumes in the 1920s. Most likely a short-lived company. In addition to perfumes, the company also produced lotions, powders, creams and soaps.

Les Parfums de Jaspy

Les Parfums de Jaspy of Paris, established at 75 rue du Cardinal Lemoine, Paris in 1910, and subtitled "Parfums Modernes et Originaux". The company was very  short-lived.

The New York French Export Company was the sole distributor of Jaspy in 1920.

Le Petit Chose by Jaspy: launched in 1922, clear glass pear shaped flacon with stopper made up of milk glass, a stylized man's head wearing a black hat. Bottle made in memory of French author, Alphonse Daudet who wrote the novel Le P'tite Chose.

L'Institut de Beaute & Klytia Perfumes

L'Institut de Beaute, of 26 place Vendome, Paris. A beauty salon established in 1895 by Victor Francois Merle with Elise-Marie Valentin Le Brun. The beauty salon sold cosmetics, toiletries and some of the finest limited edition perfume presentations, most likely only available at the Paris salon. The salon later moved to 222 rue de Rivoli, Paris. They sold products to the USA under the name Klytia, as this was an affiliated company established in 1895 by Merle.

Madame Valentin Le Brun had royal appointments from the Khedive of Egypt (possibly Abbas Hilmi Pasha), the Queen of England, The Queen of Spain (possibly Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg), Princess Eulalia (Princess Eulalia Maria Antoine Eleonore of Thurn and Taxis) and others. She was also awarded the (Silver Palms medal) as an Officier d'Academie de France.

Klytia is still producing skin care products today, under the Klytia label and the L'Institut de Beaute label (here's a hint for anyone interested in trying their products, I have found plenty of L'Institut de Beaute products at the discount stores Marshalls, and TJ Maxx, all items are priced half or lower of what they retail at higher end stores.)

Parfumerie St. Denis

Parfumerie St. Denis of Paris France. (also known as Perfumery St. Denis). The American part of the company was located at 452 Fifth Ave., New York. The company produced perfumes, toiletries and cosmetics. But they were famous for their bath salts and powders.

Dr. Anthony T. Frascati (b. July 7, 1892 in Italy) composed the perfumes for Perfumery St Denis in 1922-1925 and again as the chemist in charge of production and perfumery in 1926-1929.  Frascati had also compounded perfumes for other companies such as Tokalon (1922-1925), Ungerer & Co (1929-1932), and Givaudan-Delawanna (1925-1926) before joining Max Factor in 1933. Frascati worked in the Max Factor labs until 1936, when he was appointed head of the perfume laboratory for Firmenich in New York City until 1949. He even whipped up private perfumes for screen stars, but did not manufacture them.

In 1940, Baum acquired St. Denis.  St. Denis Toiletries, Inc., has acquired the business of the former Parfumerie St. Denis, Inc., New York. Jerome E. Baum. originator of Dermay Perfumes, Inc.. who retired and sold his interest in Dermay after fifteen years' association is president of the new organization.

Les Parfums Godet

Parfumerie Silka, also known as Parfums Silka, was founded by Maurice Roussel in 1909 at 16 Quai de la Mégisserie in Paris. Maurice Roussel was connected to the esteemed Parfumerie Roussel family, which had been a prominent name in the fragrance industry since 1852. The Roussel family's previous venture, Parfumerie Roussel, had achieved considerable acclaim with their highly successful Eau Gorlier during the 19th century. This lineage of expertise and innovation in perfumery provided a strong foundation for the establishment of Parfumerie Silka, continuing the family’s legacy in the world of fragrance.
